A thin layer of liquid crystal droplets, laminated onto your existing glass. What happens next depends on whether power is flowing through it.

Curved & Shaped Windows

Yes — smart film applies to curved and irregularly shaped glass, not just flat panels. Tightly curved sections may need extra measurement and seam planning, confirmed during your site survey.

Sliding Doors

What is PDLC smart film and how does it switch between clear and frosted?

A thin layer of liquid crystal droplets laminated onto glass. With power off, the crystals scatter light and the glass turns frosted for instant privacy at zero electricity cost. With a low-voltage current on, the crystals align, light passes through, and the glass clears in about one second.

Can smart film be installed on my existing glass, or do I need new glass panels?

Both options are available. Smart film can be applied directly onto the glass you already have as a fast, lower-cost retrofit with no replacement needed, or supplied as a brand-new glass panel with the film already built in for a full replacement.

What comes included with installation — do I need an app or wall switch?
